The Best Time To Visit The Margaret River Region

Written by Deirdre Baldock

With inviting sea temperatures and a climate of the year-round sun often compared to the Mediterranean, it’s little wonder why the Margaret River region is one of the most popular getaway destinations in Australia.

Summer

Summer takes time to warm up in the Margaret River region but when it does, it brings with it long, lazy days averaging between 25C – 35C. The late December weeks leading up to Christmas generally provide the very best weather for enjoying the long sandy beaches close to our Friendly Accommodation Margaret River. This time of year can also bring some strong winds, making it the perfect time to catch a wave.

Autumn

The winds of summer die down and the evenings are long and balmy. With maximum temperatures in mid autumn lingering around 25C, the sea is still warm enough to enjoy a refreshing swim during your break at our Dog Friendly Accommodation Margaret River.

Winter

Winter is the time of highest rainfall in the Margaret River region, but the season also brings with it plenty of crisp, sunny days ideal for an invigorating hike along the nearby Cape to Cape track. When the showers do come, the region’s cosy beachside cafes and inviting pubs provide comforting refuge.

Spring

If you are dropping by our Margaret River Winery Accommodation in spring you can expect crisp, clear days with a maximum temperature of around 20C and a minimum of 9C. Pack a jumper and enjoy a stroll through the lush local woodlands to spot the rare and colourful wildflowers coming into bloom.
